The challenge

Participants will build a robot using Arduino or Raspberry Pi along with sensors to support garbage management. The final assembly and presentation will take place on August 22nd in front of professional judges.

Required tech & constraints

  • Ages 13 to 19 only
  • High school students only
  • Team required: 3 to 5 members
  • Use Arduino or Raspberry Pi along with sensors

Judging criteria

  • Innovation (25 points): Novelty of the solution, creativity in addressing Garbage Management challenges.
  • Tech complexity (20 points): Complexity of implementation, advanced technical concepts or integration of multiple technologies.
  • User Experience (15 points): Ease of use, intuitive and user-friendly, especially for Generation Z users.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration (10 points)

Prizes

  • Champion: $1,000 cash prize, individual trophies, and certificates.
  • 1st runner up: Individual trophies and certificates.
  • 2nd Runner Up: Individual trophies and certificates.
  • 3rd Runner Up: Individual trophies and certificates.
  • 4th Runner Up: Individual trophies and certificates.
