The challenge

Build a project using Qwen models available on Qwen Cloud that falls within at least one of the following tracks:

  • Track 1: MemoryAgent: Build an Agent with persistent memory that autonomously accumulates experience, remembers user preferences, and makes increasingly accurate decisions across multi-turn, cross-session interactions. Focus on efficient memory storage and retrieval, timely forgetting of outdated information, and recalling critical memories within limited context windows.
  • Track 2: AI Showrunner: Leverage video generation capabilities (e.g., Wan, HappyHorse) to build an Agent that autonomously handles the entire short drama creation pipeline, from scriptwriting and storyboarding to video generation and editing. Demonstrate narrative ability and multimodal orchestration skills while maximizing output quality under a limited token budget.
  • Track 3: Agent Society: Design a multi-agent collaboration system where multiple Agents with distinct capabilities work together through task division, dialogue, and negotiation to accomplish complex tasks. Showcase how Agents decompose tasks, assign roles, resolve disagreements, and achieve measurable efficiency gains over single-agent baselines.
  • Track 4: Autopilot Agent: Build an Agent that automates real-world business workflows end-to-end (e.g., customer inquiry emails to quote generation, system alerts to automated remediation, resume screening to interview scheduling). Demonstrate the Agent's ability to handle ambiguous inputs, invoke external tools, and incorporate human-in-the-loop checkpoints at critical decision points. Emphasis is on production-readiness.
  • Track 5: EdgeAgent: Build Qwen-powered physical devices (robots, IoT agents, smart hardware) that perceive via edge sensors, reason via cloud APIs/Skills, and act locally. Demonstrate robust edge-cloud orchestration under bandwidth/latency constraints, privacy-aware data handling, and graceful degradation in offline/weak-network scenarios.

Required tech & constraints

  • Projects must use Qwen models available on Qwen Cloud.
  • Backend must be running on Alibaba Cloud.
  • Participants must sign up for Qwen Cloud and can receive free Qwen Cloud credits.
  • Specific countries/territories are excluded. Participants must be above the legal age of majority in their country of residence.

Submission requirements

  • Code Repository: Public, open-source repository with all necessary source code, assets, and instructions. Must include an open-source license file.
  • Proof of Alibaba Cloud Deployment: A link to a code file in the repo demonstrating the use of Alibaba Cloud services and APIs.
  • Architecture Diagram: A clear visual representation of the system.
  • Demo Video: Approximately 3 minutes, demonstrating the submission functioning. Must be uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo, or Facebook Video and made public.
  • Text Description: Explanation of the project's features and functionality.
  • Track Identification: Clearly identify which track the submission is for.
  • Optional: URL to a published Blog or Social Post showing the journey building with QwenCloud (for the Blog Post Prize).

Judging Criteria

  • Technical Depth & Engineering (30%): Sophisticated use of QwenCloud APIs, algorithmic or engineering innovation.
  • Innovation & AI Creativity (30%): High-quality architecture, clean code, thoughtful tech stack adoption.
  • Problem Value & Impact (25%): Real-world relevance, scalability potential.
  • Presentation & Documentation (15%): Clear technical demo and documentation.

Prizes

  • Track Prizes (5 winners): $7,000 cash + $3,000 cloud credits per track winner. Includes blog feature, swag bag, and potential Ambassador opportunity.
  • Blog Post Award (10 winners): $500 cash + $500 cloud credits.
  • Top 10 Honorable Mention Projects: $500 cash + $500 cloud credits.

Total prize pool: $70,000+ in cash and cloud credits.

Bonus / optional points

  • Submitting to the hackathon can earn Devpost Achievements.
  • Providing a URL to a published Blog or Social Post showing the journey building with QwenCloud makes participants eligible for the Blog Post Prize.
